http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg19025456.500-device-warns-you-i... Thinking of getting one? Lately, I'm looking at getting a CPAP for obstructive sleep apnea. If you remember Sojo, he had one and felt great on one. They cost however about $500-$1000. Hehe. I wonder how really accurate that is going to be and why the he## NT's need to hold grudges over conversations. (or maybe it's because we're so consistent and routine?). Anyhow, I think it's unfair but perhaps something NTs tend to do less (anecdotally observed here) of and that is give others with quirkiness renewed expectations. H

H Herself and I were looking at this article and wondering if it's due for publication on 01 April. BTW, the CPAP box has made a large difference to Herself's sleep (and indirectly to mine, as I no longer listen for long breathless periods between SNORK noises!). Your blog is now almost impossible to comment to, or I would have told you sooner. - Ryno is a rude bastard and doesn't do email. My opinions may not be those of my employers, and should not be construed as representing them.

Lately, I'm looking at getting a CPAP for obstructive sleep apnea. If you remember Sojo, he had one and felt great on one. They cost however about $500-$1000. I'm *still* waiting for my sleep-lab appointment (actually a home wearable recorder - supposed to have a shorter waiting list than the actual sleep lab). If this ever comes through, then hopefully it would be NHS supplied. Terry

http://www.newscientist.com/article/mg19025456.500-device-warns-you-i... Thinking of getting one? I don't think so - apart from the likely price, it's yet another datastream to handle, you still have to fit this signal into the context of handling the conversational input & output. Perhaps if you set the triggering level to high (insensitive), and kept the indicators to a very limited number, and the signal associated with them very distinct - So that you got few, informative, & clear signals it might work. Terry I've been wondering about getting an LED signs that I can get one of those fold up keyboards (like they have for some PDAs) and then scroll talk to people. It will be a tad slower but will be much easier for me because of the muteness. Now as for them communicating back....dunno. Might use double laptops maybe with simple com_link_ for peer to peer chatting. Mabye someone will invent a simpler chat computer with keyboard and existing _link_ .
